I still volunteer at local long-term care facilities and occasionally marry people mostly for fun. If you live near Bath I'll do my best to see you immediately. If you live more than 30 minutes away consider me as your backup plan aka notary of last resort.
If it's paperwork that needs to be explained, filled in or there are multiple signatures - it's a flat $50 fee. Anything longer than 15 minutes and it's $25 per additional quarter hour. All meetings are plus mileage, after-hours, weekend and holiday fees.

Mortgage Closings are $200 plus travel.
Weddings are $120 at my home on the Kennebec in Bath - RARE and only with planning.
Local weddings are $200 plus travel.
Weddings over 30 minutes away via Google maps are $400 plus travel.
Mileage is currently $10 per mile, one way via Google maps mostly to make the math easy.

If you want to write your own wedding vows that's great I will work them into the ceremony. If you want to write your own ceremony I will need your notes a week in advance and it will cost an additional $199.

Note: There is a 25% discount for 1st marriages. I will notarize any document for active duty military at no charge if they visit me at my home office and bring a six pack. Please don't hesitate to ask! With a little heads up I offer weddings in French, Swedish, Spanish, Korean, Samoan and Wolof for a fee.
Please don't forget your marriage license and two witnesses with government issued photo identification. With heads up I can usually find a witness that you will need to pay $50 to endorse you license with my wife helping out for free.
